Macau – Part 1

Day 1 : Cotai & Taipa Area

Scoot our way to Macau early morning of 29th December 2017. We are a little excited about the trip as this is our first time to Macau and also the first-ever oversea countdown.

From Macau airport, we took a cab to The Galaxy hotel directly.

As we stepped into the grand lobby, the ‘Fortune Diamond” show just started. The diamond symbolizes luck and prosperity for the casino goers.

As time is still early, we left our luggage at the hotel and head opposite for our breakfast. I noticed a few tables eat the porridge together with steamed rice roll while our way of eating porridge is with youtiao.

Next, we explored the Taipa village at our own pace.

We had a pork chop bun at Tai Lei Loi Kei.

The area compound consists of 6 hotels including Galaxy. At the grand deck, there is a water theme park. The resort also includes a shopping mall, food court, and even a cinema complex.

We head into the casino for a look as there is no entrance fee to it. We did play a few games, just for fun.

Next, we proceed to the City of Dream hotel for The House of Dancing Water show. This hotel placed dragon sculpture to almost every entrance of the casino. Impressive artwork.

The breathtaking water show is a MUST to watch in Macau. The stage transformation is astonishing, from dancing around the water fountain to dive into the deep pool to motorcycle performing stunts all at the very same stage.

Do remember to spare extra time for hotels hopping at Cotai Strip. Both The Parisian and The Venetian are worth exploring even you are not staying there.
