Day 2 : Macau Mainland
We took the free shuttle bus from our hotel to the StarWorld hotel. From there we walked towards famous Macau’s iconic landmark, Ruins of Saint Paul.

We happened to pass by this restaurant with many photos at the entrance. The boss is personally there and introduces us to their famous dishes. We ordered their specialty shrimp noodles and fried white fish with salt and pepper. Both are fantastic.

A few steps away is a unique ice cream shop which is worth a try.

Carol e Fortaleza da Guia is our next stop. It is about 20mins walk from where we are. From the lighthouse, we can view the city of Macau.
Descend with a cable car ride.
We walked to the Fisherman Wharf instead of taking a cab as it is hard to get one. This Roman amphitheater is part of the integrated resort for this area.
Took their public bus back to St. Paul for the nightlight show.

We went to the Wynn hotel for The Tree of Prosperity show. It is another jaw-dropping act you must catch in Macau. Tree with a 24 karat gold brass leaf rises from below.
Most of the hotels in Macau display state of the art shows and gold sculptures of dragons give casinos goers the kind of impression that it will bring luck and prosperity to them. Indeed it is a big eye-opener for us.
Day 3 : Coloane Area
From the hotel, we took a cab to Lord Stow Cafe. Bought the freshly baked egg tarts from the bakery and also have our breakfast at the cafe. All are definitely worth the trip here.
We explored the surrounding casually.

Next, we head to Fernando, which is famous for its Portuguese cuisine to have our lunch. Many people are waiting outside the dining area. After about 45 minutes, it is finally our turn to proceed into the dining area. Once you tasted the food, you will realize it well worth the effort.
At night, we had dinner at Antonio, another famous Portuguese restaurant located within Taipa village.

We waited near the Parisian Eiffel Tower for the countdown to 2018.

Day 4 : Taipa Area before home
We had our late breakfast just across the street.
Get some souvenirs at the Taipa street and tried the famous crab porridge for lunch. The crab is small with not much meat.
Another unique dessert, crushed biscuit with ice-cream is worth a try.

The display at every individual hotel shows how much profits they earn from its casinos. Our short trip also proved that Macau is worth a visit even you don’t gamble.
