Split > Krka National Park > Kliss Fortess > Split
Krka National Park is another natural beauty. A day trip from Split is a must for nature lovers to witness the magnificent waterfall.

From the entrance, choose either to walk or to take the free shuttle bus to the boardwalk route. There are many crashed stones along the 875m long walking path, a fun walk down.

The 2km route trip route leads us into the forest before reaching the main waterfall, Skradinski Buk. Walked into the greenery surrounding, along the side of the running water and also many other smaller waterfalls.

Have a picnic at the Skradinski Buk open space to witness the magnificent waterfall as well as the many swimmers having their fun.
Took the shuttle bus back to the entrance and continue explored other attractions of the park.
Visovac Monastery, located on Visovac island, is best viewed from far. We drove to where the statue of the Croatian King Petar Svacicu stand, to peek at the Monastery in the middle of the emerald lake.
Roski slap is a unique waterfall due to its cascades and the surrounding lush vegetation. The area also consists of few traditional mills. We took another round trip hike to further enjoyed the surrounding cliff and the green.

We drove uphill to overlook the Roski slap from the top. At the point of the visit, the plant in the river was overgrown. The cascades, also known as the necklace, were thus hardly seen.
Klis Fortress was once a royal castle that served many Croatian Kings before developed to a fortress. Be stunned by the sweeping view at the entrance. Explored the ruins and wondered how ancient people built it.

We had a delicious dinner at Seosko Gospodarstvo Antoničin Mlin. Surprisingly, we were the only diners as the place was about to close for the day.
