Sarajevo > Hum border > Zabljak

We had our breakfast at the hotel. The choices were limited, so it was not worth paying the extra dollars for it.

On the road again to Montenegro. For two hours, we drove around the mountainous road, passing farmers with cows, before reaching the Hum border.

The Hum border is small with just two lanes. After clearing the customs, we took a short break at the Blue Tara River Cafe.

The scenic drive from the border to Zabljak was breathtaking. The road winds through the Piva Canyon with crystal blue water crossing and Durmitor National Park. The landscape changes dramatically along the way.

We had lunch at Zabljak town before continuing the journey to Tara Bridge.

Tara River Canyon is one of the deepest river canyons in Europe. We walked across the Tara Bridge to feel and see the surrounding nature. For the adventurous, a few ziplines activities are crossing the canyon at different angles.

The Black Lakes located in the Durmitor National Park. From the carpark, the walking trail leads directly to the lake. The greenery surrounding together with the cooling weather makes the scroll relaxing.

Zlatin Bor, which served traditional cuisines using the ingredients from the local farm, is located just opposite the accommodation. As the road is dark, we drove across the street to have our dinner.

Overnight at Durmitor Bungalow

Durmitor Bungalow consists of 6 individual bungalows. Each unit has a living and kitchen located on the ground floor, while the two bedrooms are on the upper section. Surrounded by nature and beautiful landscape, the stay is a perfect getaway.
