Singapore > Melbourne > Hobart > Port Arthur (Tasman Peninsula)
International travel is put to a stop when covid strike the earth. Tasmania is our first post-covid oversea destination. Why choose Tasmania? Nature, clean air, hopefully, lesser crowds than other major cities, and no language barriers.
There was no direct flight from Singapore to Tasmania, so we flew to Melbourne and took a domestic flight to Hobart.

We arrived just before noon at Hobart with all our luggage intact. We head to the Budget Car Rental counter to collect the pre-reserve rental car.

Sorell, just 12km away from the airport, is a good spot for lunch and some groceries shopping.

The picturesque landscape from Sorell to Port Arthur makes our drive more enjoyable. Rainbows are easily spotted from time to time. The only disappointment is that there were many roadkills along the way.

Port Arthur on the Tasman Peninsula will be our destination for the day. The accommodation for the night is at Stewarts Bay Lodge.
After collecting the keys from the box, we drove to our cabin. At dusk, spot the wallabies hopping around the area.

We had a delicious dinner at 1830 Restaurant and Bar before driving to the Remarkable Cave area for some star gazing.

The 10 minutes journey was quite adventurous as the drive was almost total darkness. At times, wild animals will suddenly jump out.
