~ Salamanca Market ~ Battery Point ~ Goat Bluff Lookout ~
Salamanca Market, held every Saturday at Salamanca Place, is a must-visit in Hobart. With over 300 stalls, from local produce to creative artwork, you can spend the whole morning browsing the marketplace. The stalls change weekly to ensure those weekly visitors never get bored with it.

What we tried:
- Sourdough Donuts
- Grilled Scallops Stick
- Taiwanese Steamed Buns
- Bratwurst
- Paella
Every freshly prepared food that we ate was delicious and flavorful. We wish that we have more storage to enjoy more stuff.

Many of the artworks are handmade, unique, and beautiful products.

Sidewalk into the narrow lanes to the Salamanca warehouses to find more unique shops and relax in the inner courtyard.
Explore the first settlement village of Hobart to see the colonial architecture and feel its historical ambiance. Battery Point Historic Walk can easily access from Salamanca Place.

Arthur Circus is a circle of single-frontage cottages.

Enjoy our lunch stop at cafe Cibo e Vino by Angelo. Delicious pasta and dessert with friendly staff.

There are a few parks to enjoy nature and admire the surrounding historic architecture.
Mawson Huts Replica Museum, near the waterfront area, showcases the history of the Douglas Mawson Antarctic Expedition between 1911 to 1914. Look through the photo of their daily lives over two winters, see their warm comfort bunks, and read about the harsh encounter of the expedition.

We had dinner at the famous Mures restaurant.

After dinner, we drive to Mount Wellington again for the night scenery. The road condition is poor at the summit.
Our last night at Hobart and thus we decided to head to the South Arm for some star gazing instead. On the way, I got an Aurora alert from the Facebook group. We are excited!
Witness our very first Aurora at the Goat Bluff Lookout. The display gets stronger and pretty amazing. Despite the coldness, we stay around for 2-3 hours.
