Bicheno > Bay of Fires > Bicheno Blowholes > Bicheno
The cottage was just meters away from the ocean, and there was a direct route from the accommodation to the beach. It was cloudy with strong wind and waves.

Bay of Fires is just one hour drive north of sandpiper.
Bay of Fires, located on the Northeast coast of Tasmania, is one of the most unique and beautiful spots. The rich and striking orange rocks scattered the coastline and stood out with the turquoise water. From Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point, you can find different picturesque rock formations with various orange saturation.

The orange hue of the rocks comes from lichens, a combination of algae and fungus.

We explore the area between Binalong Bay and The Gardens. Many photo spots, and easy to find a quiet corner to enjoy nature by ourselves.

Lunch at the quiet St Helens town.

Encounter another wild Kookaburra along the way.

Back to Bicheno town for its famous Bicheno Blowhole. With each surge of ocean, it will burst through the hole with changing force. Every blow is of different strength. We are lucky enough to witness an enormous blow. As the area is without any fence, walk with care.
Dinner at the Lobster Shack. Not so fantastic.
For freshness and taste, we still prefer Hursey Seafoods at Stanley.
