Roast & Coffee – Retro Garden 1968’s
It is our first visit to R&C. We order their popular items for breakfast.

- Handmade Chwee Kueh
- Crunchy Peanut Kaya Bun
- Salted Egg French Toast

The chwee kueh is the best. Unlike the one in Singapore, theirs is not salty or oily. It is a MUST to try when you visit R&C.
The flavourful toast had a thin layer of crispiness with the thick lava-salted egg sauce. Every bite is sinful but worth its calories.
A cafe worth revisiting for its delicious food at a reasonable price.
G. Cheong Fun Restaurant

The stall is very popular among the locals. Choose your preferred chee cheong fun flavor. The curry sauce is their specialty. Choose the Hakka Yong Tau Fu items to pair with the CCF.

Their CCF look a bit like thin Kway Teow. The thickness of the CCF is just right. It is one of the best CCF we eat.
Many other local dishes are locate on the same street.
Wah Cai 3-in-1 Chinese Cake, a local snack, is crispy and not oily despite it being deep fry. A snack that is hardly found in SG.

Eco Spring Lab is famous for its look-alike European charm village. Walk around the area for some photos and cafes hopping.

A visit to Mid-Valley Southkey Mall is a must in the afternoon. Pamper ourselves with a massage at the Siam Oasis. A better deal compares to home.

An award-winning egg tart from the Oriental Kopi is available at the mall at the point of writing. The freshly baked tart is known for its thickness. Enjoy every bite of filling with the thinnest flaky crust.
