With limestone covering more than 80% of the land, the area has countless stunning natural landscapes. We will be spending the next two days exploring the breathtaking site.

The drive along the winding road across countless mountains is remarkable. The scenery outside the car got more spectacular as the journey continued.

Do the Ha Giang loop yourself for the best experience.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate, located 1500m above sea level, is the must-see viewpoint. The stunning panoramic landscape of rolling mountains stretches as far as you can see. The extraordinary formation is such a breathtaking sight.

The nearby Twin Mountain or Fairy Bosom is another gift of Mother Nature. Two well-proportioned karst cones are said to be the breast of a fairy that provides milk to her child and later turns into mountains.

At Lung Tam Linen, we learned how the local Hmong women still practice the traditional way of making handicrafts to earn a living.

Tham Ma Pass is the iconic S-shaped mountain pass between Lung Thau and Van Chai village. The viewpoint at the top of the pass is an ideal rest stop for photos, especially with the young ethnic with flowers.

Visit the Palace of the Hmong King in Sa Phin, Dong Van district. At first glance, it resembled a fortress. An oriental-styled entrance welcomes every visitor. Influenced by Chinese, Hmong, and French culture, this masterpiece of architecture is unique.

At the most northern point of Vietnam, the Lung Cu flag tower has a 54-meter square flag flying at its top. The 54 represent the 54 ethnic groups living in the area. We took an electric buggy to the upper parking area and climbed about 300 steps to the base of the flag tower. From the vantage, witness the panoramic landscape of Vietnam and China.

Dong Van town is a great rest stop with plenty of restaurants and accommodations. A visit to the Dong Van Old Quarter is a must. Stroll the historic square surrounded by stone houses, now cafes and restaurants. With the majestic rocky mountains, the old quarter looks more stunning. Revisit at night for a different kind of sensation. The area is beautifully light, and many street performances show their talent.
