Trung Khanh > Nguom Ngao Cave > Ban Gioc Waterfall > Phuc Sen & Dia Tren village > Angel Eye Mountain > Cao Bang
We had banana pancakes and fried noodles for breakfast at the homestay.

Nguom Ngao Cave, also known as Tiger Cave, is one of the most beautiful caves in northern Vietnam. According to a local legend, many fierce tigers used to stay in the cave.

Shiny and beautiful stalagmites and stalactites were form over years of erosion and formation. There are many impressive rock formations as we explored the limestone cave. At times, we could hear the sound of running water. The stream in the cave is joined to the nearby river, which flows to the majestic waterfall. We had a stunning and impressive 1km trail in the cave.

An exciting uphill motorbike ride. The view at the top of the hill is breathtaking. At one corner, we can see the Ban Gioc Waterfall surrounded by paddy fields at one side and majestic mountains on the other. Do not forget to visit the beautiful and unique temple, Chua Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc, to learn about its religion. It is almost similar to what we have in our country.

The magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall sits at the border of Vietnam (Cao Bang) and China (Guangxi). It is the 4th largest cross-border waterfall in the world. As we walked toward the waterfall, the roaring water got louder. The mists could wet us, but the breathtaking view is worth the drenched. Enjoy the area while exploring photoshoots from different angles. Guess what, I got my shoes soaked while walking around. A ride on the bamboo raft along the Quay Son River is a must. We were excited to get up close to the waterfall, and the raft was very stable.

Phuc Sen village is well known for making traditional tools. Mostly Nung ethnic group people forging tools for farmers and home use. The hammering sound and flying flower sparks could be seen in some houses.

The nearby Dia Tren village is doing traditional Paper crafting. The bark of May Sia trees is dried, soaked, cooked, and dried on the walls. The place was quiet as almost all the villagers were in the community hall for an event.

Angel Eye Mountain is a mountain with an enormous hole in the center. The hole, 50m in diameter, is a cave. Millions of years of tectonic movement resulted in the present altitude. There are 36 lakes around the region so the landscape changes with the seasons. Many locals were camping on the grassland. I felt delighted to witness such a unique landscape with my own eyes.

Cao Bang town is big and vibrant. We had something different for our dinner tonight. The place was similar to our home country’s economic rice stall, and we tried fried silkworm. After dinner, we stroll around the town.
