Cao Bang > Ba Be National Park

We had a simple breakfast at the hotel before heading to the local market with our guide.

A short walk from the hotel, the market sells almost everything. The locals ride the bike to the stall front and make their purchase without alighting. It is so much convenient.

Continue our walk along the river before going for a quick bite.

“Bun Dau Mam Tom” is a dish consisting of vermicelli, fermented shrimp paste, and deep-fried stuff. “Bun” means vermicelli that sticks together. The fried stuff not oily. Tasty.

Do you know what is “hot vit lon”? Filipinos called “Balut”. It is a boiled fertilized duck egg. Of course, we dared not try it, not even a glance.

We had lunch on the way to our next destination. After lunch, we got time for some tea.

Hike around the village opposite the hotel. The driver would pluck some leaves or fruits to enjoy while walking. A nice relaxing afternoon walk, enjoy nature, and best of all, our bonds get closer.

There was a stall selling dog meat by the road. Its head was on display. A scene that’s too cruel to be taken and shown.
A relaxing day. Enjoy the slow pace of the tour and away from tourist spots.

Hot & delicious dishes were served one after another to the table.
