Ba Be National Park > Pac Ngoi village
After breakfast, we were on the road again. Deposit our luggage and parked the car at the homestay in Pac Ngoi village before walking to Ba Be Lake National Park.
Pac Ngoi village is one of the few villages that still preserve the traditional customs and habits of the Tay ethnic.

Ba Be National Park is the largest freshwater lake in Vietnam. Ba Be refers to Three Lakes. Three main rivers flow into the lake. The three zones are Pe Lam, Pe Lu, and Pe Leng. The lake is surrounded by limestone cliffs and forests. It is home to many different flora and fauna.

Onboard the long motor boat and cruise along the Nang River to explore the beautiful Ba Be Lake. A calm and relaxing ride. The cooling breeze. The first stop is a short walk to one of the villages.

It started to drizzle, and soon it turned heavier. As the boat moves, we can feel the splash of the raindrops.

Continue on the muddy river ride to the cave of Puong Grotto. The entrance is so enormous that even many boats can cruise across. A short hike around the cave where thousands of bats are chirping above us. The bats concentrated in one corner, so need to be careful not to let their poo fall on your head. A small cave, but worth the time to explore. Surprisingly, there is a vendor that sells grill snacks.

Amazing scenery. Relax.

There is a restaurant along the river bank. We had lunch with a river and forest view. Rice sold out, so we had fried noodles instead.

From here, we walk to Dau Dang Waterfall. Hike through vegetation and green forest before walking downhill. Due to the earlier rain, the downhill walk is quite slippery. The waterfall, with a slope of 500m, runs through stacked rocks of various sizes.

Stroll back the same route. Enjoy the green landscape.
Onboard the boat and continue cruising to another popular spot, Fairy Lake. It is a rock basin pool at Ba Be Lake. We need to walk a bit before reaching the lake. Many local vendors filled both sides of the walkway selling food items and souvenirs.

A visit to the popular worship place, An Ma Shrine, is not to be missed.

The chilling sensation, soft breeze, and the sense of peace and calm as we ride around the Ba Be Lake. The cruise ended by late afternoon.

The thick forest trail along the lake is a good place for insect photography.

We had our dinner at the homestay with the family.
